Children succeed best when they are healthy, self-confident and well motivated. This knowledge has led to the development of extended schools. An extended school is one that provides (or effectively signposts to) a range of services and activities which meet the wider needs and increase the well being of, children, young people, families and their communities. Schools are at the heart of our communities and by working in partnership with each other and other organisations, we can make a real difference to people's lives.
